For videos longer than 10 minute you can insert an ad after the video as well as severally over the the length of the video.

YouTube went behind our backs and removed all ads but the one at the beginning of your longer videos.

You need to go back and reinsert your ads if that's your style

I do wonder why anyone would bother putting an ad at the end/after the video.. such a small amount of people ever watch a video allll the way end.

I've seen that happening very rarely. I've only seen it happening when there is a high traffic and also average watch time is longer.
