Can you get demonetized for graphic images?

Title says it all, i'm working on a video about "This disease makes you think you have been set on fire!"
regarding a rare genetic disorder including pictures of people with it. I really do feel the images are necessary to show the horrid disfigurement the people who suffer from the disease have it and make a case to make donations to end it but i've heard regardless of context youtube will demonetize the video or even the channel?

Most likely the video will be demonetized. Whether the channel will, depends on how the majority of the remaining content is seen when the channel comes under existing partner review; and believe me, it will...sooner or later.
