Does anyone use a lock to secure your camera bag to like a tree or something while your at a beach or waterfall, etc. And if so do you have any recommendations? I really don't want to get all my gear stolen that would suck!

Moved to the recording / editing / production / software / hardware forum. :)

It's not specifically for cameras, but maybe a "D-lock" (usually for bikes) could do the job? They are practically impossible to break.

Unless your bag is a hard case, locking it to an object will make it more likely to get stolen. (with the right tools, any lock can be cut in no time) Many thieves will have a knife with them. If they see a bag is locked, it will draw their attention and they will assume that there is something valuable inside worth stealing. All they have to do is take one whack with a knife and walk away with your stuff.

I would definitely just consider getting an ordinary bag and putting bag dividers inside it. That way it's inconspicuous. I use my Fjallraven bag as my camera bag and nobody ever bats an eye..(fingers crossed.)
