If anybody wants to post any little tips they know to help beginners making backgrounds, feel free! - (Tips for GIMP and Photoshop)

Don't over crowd your background or put a ton of images all over it. Try to keep it simple and professional

One tip for GIMP users - Always export your background designs as .png, not .jpg or anything else.

Yeah Save for Web & Device then png-8 or 24 if you use photoshop
