Anyone partnered with 'centus'?

You can get same amounts with just using Adsense, it's a big promotion stunt that networks use to pull people in. They will say they provide you with high CPM, but is it really worth paying them for if you can get similar CPM values by just using Adsense and keeping all revenue for yourself?

Adsense does not use premium ads, which means if premium ads are available for the channel their CPM will be a lot higher. Even with that and a 90% split to all creators over 80 views per day, I would think its possible to make a good deal more with a network compared to adsence.

It would probably equal less f you were in a 50% gross split, the network mentioned offers 90%

As Conor said that's not exactly correct, most networks (not all) have an Ad Sales team which causes the CPMs to be visibly higher. The ad sales team for Centus is actually quite good, I can gaurantee the revnue will be higher than with AdSense, despite losing 10%. You'd need a really bad contract with a network in order to get the same amounts as w/ AdSense directly, though there are some exceptions.

Okay nice I'll ask you two one thing first, what is a high CPM I need to think of with these 'premium ads'? Just to clarify things so I know what amounts we're talking about.

I would class any CPM of 8$ or higher good. I think Google adsense's average is about 4-5$ for English speaking content.
Channels from Poland, Ukraine, Russia and so on do not have very high CPMs as not much money is invested into online advertising.
Meanwhile it is normal for an English channel with good demographics to have a 10$ + CPM.

Okay then here comes why I said that I think the so called 'high CPM' values are nothing more than a good story to lure people into a network and share some of their revenue. I'm partnered with just Adsense alone, not a network partner. I make English videos on music production, while I'm based in the Netherlands and I'm getting most of my views from the US and UK.

So with that explained I just looked through my Analytics and I started 2013 with a CPM of $3.19 on January 1, while at the 9th of January this year my CPM had already gone up to $10.59. Ever since that 9th day of January up until the last date of this year that is currently in my statistics I haven't dropped below the $10 CPM mark. In fact, it has been rising ever since January. From March till halfway through June I maintained a steady CPM of $20 with a little sign of growth, but then from the second half of June till August my CPM has been going up and down between $20 and $35. Also the closer I go to the month August the more days are showing CPMs above $30, so during that time it was still growing. After August my CPM dropped, but that is logical since in August I ended my last series of tutorial videos, but even though my CPM from August till the start of September have not dropped below $20. I can now actually see a big growth again ever since I started uploading more music, and my CPM has had a minimum value of $20.56 and maximum value of $54.15 during the month September. So why is what I said in my post not totally accurate?

Then to the 'premium' ads... Networks try to get the highest paying ads on videos under their network, and they will try to link these ads to your channel and reward you with a higher CPM, but that is somewhat what the Adsense program already does for you, although it is the advertisers themselves who can specify a particular niche of channels they want their higher CPM ads to display on. So naturally, if your content is good and your channel is growing you also grow the chance to get higher paying ads. No advertiser will ask for their ads to be displayed on a channel with little to no views, but when you stick out and show that your channel is good it will all come naturally.

Good content is THE KEY to generating more revenue.

(Also as a side note, the past year has also been the year where my channel has grown a lot, and the CPM has grown with it)

Adsense does not display premium advertisements. Premium advertisements are when the network itself and goes to find advertisers. The network mentioned offers 36% premium ads, which is excellent.

Alot of networks just display google ads, so the partners of that network would make the EXACT same with google adsense, before the network took the split.

If you have a good gross split (90%) and a network that displays premium ads, it usually is quite high.

I didn't call the Google ads premium ads in the first place, I only showed that the CPM of Google ads can be just as high as the networks so called 'premium' ads, if not higher. So to me the only difference is the name the network gives those ads. And Google ads do have a wide variety of types and costs, not just the standard ads. I every now and then get very high rewarding CPM ads on my videos, which only occur like on one day, or maybe two days after each other and then they will be gone fore a time. These ads are listed as 'Unknown auction' in my Analytics and I've seen one last month that when viewed from Ireland, would generate a CPM of $730, that 'unknown auction' boosted my CPM that day a lot!

So what is this then? It aren't the normal standard ads that generate such a high CPM, otherwise every channel would be getting a lot more revenue.

I love this new word that people started to use... "Premium Ads". lol. Seems that network's marketing is getting through.

I imagine discussions between 2 youtubers "Yea man but if you go there you get PREMIUM ADS!!" "Oh man that is awesome, I want PREMIUM ADS to!".
