Advice about subscribers! HELP

I am not getting any more subscribers! A while ago I was Derpin around on youtube and I saw something that said "promote your channel here" so I wrote stuff in the comments like "check out my channel" and stuff like that. Then after I had gotten a bunch of subscribers I noticed that a bunch of people were messaging me stuff like "sub me back" and "subxsub" then I realized that it was all sub 4 sub. Then I got out of it and never did it again. I'm at about 390 subscribers. I put out a video every Friday. I am not gaining any subscribers at all! Please help.

just keep posting the subs will come also post the occasional view on reddit

Well message your subs tell them to watch your vid xD I mean they subbed yu bcoz of yur awesome content Idea?

Just keep on making content that you enjoy

If you really want to get out there, you have to start promoting yourself

Post your content on various sites such as 9gag, reddit, funnyjunk etc

You just have to be creative in promoting in terms of tags, title etc
