About TGS becoming Polaris

Ya TGN is horrible. Honestly, TGS has ridiculously high requirements. The chance of getting in within a year is near nothing. Also, it is nearly pointless to sign any contracts until you have at least a couple hundred daily views. If you want no lock in, I would go with Curse, when you meet their requirements. Then go to TGS when you can get accepted. RPM is a good network if you don't mind the 1-2 year lock in.
I have to say, just read up on Curse, and they seem really good. Especially with the new requirement where you just need 10k monthly views without a sub limit, it should be fairly accessible. Thanks for the tip man!

They really wont change anything , except allowing people who are not gamer's (that is what the yogscast said in there video) , otherwise every thing else will stay the same , and the branding will be better!

Godafoss94,
Why you want to join TGS?
My question may seems dumb question, but try to answer it to yourself and to us and think about your answer once again. Whats so special about TGS?

Why you want that partnership - just because its hard to get in?

Because it seems like a great network with lots of awesome people. Over the course of time, it has practically become a dream of mine to join TGS. And if there's one thing I always try my hardest for, it's making my dreams come true.

Yes but are you sure is that partnership it worth your efforts?

Maybe im wrong but i think if you decided to give a % cut of your earnings to a certain Network, you must know what you get in exchange and when you know what you get in exchange then think if you need this or need something other maybe...

I'm in the same position you are, I'm currently with socialblade but I'm hoping makers will be able to cut me some kind of deal that'll transfer me to polaris after, assuming I meet the requirements. If you do contact makers about this I'd love to know their response!

Heya,

I've got a few questions. Right now, I'm a really small gaming channel (partially because I have done no promotion whatsoever for my channel so far, focussing on getting a lot of content first), but that's not really what I'm here to ask.

I've got the aspiration of joining The Game Station one day (might never happen, but I'm going to try my hardest to make it happen). So I was thinking about joining RPM first, seeing they are both part of Maker Studios.

However, with TGS becoming Polaris, will anything change? Or will you still be able to flow from RPM to TGS/Polaris once your channel gets big enough? And if so, is it a better idea to join N4GTV instead of RPM (seeing the fact that, according to a stickied thread here, N4GTV is a gaming network, whilst RPM is a network for everything - and they're both part of Maker Studios)?

I hope my questions are clear enough; and if they're not, I'd gladly explain them a bit better.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hey man. Most people seem to have answered the majority of your questions. However, I saw you had asked about whether RPM or N4Gtv would be better. IF you are a gamer and are interested in Maker/RPM, I always recommend joining one of their sub-networks. I say this because you receive additional support from them, and a few other features (depending on the sub-network.) At the same time, the contract is straight through RPM-so you also receive the same support and features that someone who signs directly with RPM gets as well. In the end, you have nothing to loose, but in fact, a few more features to gain. I just did it for the support. :P

What everyone said about your other questions is pretty much true. You will have to stay for your whole term. The only thing I can think of is that it may be easier to upgrade your contract/network once you get to the point where you have to decide to either let your contract renew, or end it. I remember people told me something similar about upgrading to the higher networks through Maker. I suggest contacting RPM support themselves. :)

Yeah, if maker studios would be willing to shortlist to another sub-network when the first contract ends that would be ideal. I'd love to end up in polaris, with all the bad rep machinima has been getting lately it's starting to look like polaris is going to become the top partnership for gamers. ;)
