VR as well seem a potential future form of video. Of course, once VR technology will become more accessible. I guess it will be more "complete" but also harder to create properly since you need to take care of all the directions the viewer may potentially be looking at, not only one.

I shoot 4K also but render in 1080p. I won't consider rendering in 4K until 4K is the standard for mobile devices. Most people view content on their phone.

That's a really good point. Do the videos look better recording in 4K than rendering in 1080p?

I have heard that they do, in that they are more detailed. Plus, if you ever want to zoom in on a clip while editing, you don't lose as much quality when you are rendering down to 1080p anyway.
