100 views! any advice?

George

I've Got It
So I just reached 100 views on my first (and only) video woop! here it is:

any ideas how I can improve my channel or video techniques?

Cheers!

Congrats dude! I don't remember 100 views. But I remember 300 and 2000. Hope you have many more views!

congrats to your first 100 views! if you are wanting more views, you should
-be commeted to post more videos on the channel to prove people that you have more to show. you could try posting a video a week, a video a month or a video every 2 weeks.
-try to make your viewers make a conversation with you e.g ask them a question so that they can tell you your opinion, or when they coment, try to reply.
- don't make your videos too long, if you are sitting and just talking try to do the video under 4 mins 30 secs,
-use editing effects, e.g cutting off the "ummm" and "ahhh" and the unnessary pauses
-have jump cuts, they are intresting
- try to make charaters, such you are explaining what you're friend is saying, you can make different sounds for your voice or dress up in different shirts and do the jump cuts.

For a VBlogger?

1) Lots of Cuts keeps it interesting and on point

2) Hot or Interesting Topics - Look at what's going on in the world right now and try to relate it to your points

3) Interact with other on videos similar to yours but DO NOT ASK PEOPLE TO LOOK AT YOUR CHANNEL in others YouTubers comments
They will look if you are wity! Asking for views looks like spam and people don't like that.

4) Try to respond with something interesting to get a top rated comment on a popular channel related to yours. You will be surprised at how much that will draw views to your channel.

5) Your last name is Kinghart or Kinghorn? That is F-in awesome! USE THAT! Brand everything Kinghart/Kinghorn! Get Shirts made!

6) Be Consistent! Make a video at least every other week. If you can manage weekly, you will blow up fast. You are pretty entertaining!
There are millions of VBloggers, so you need lots of content. If you do monthly videos, you will kinda be lost -I would honestly shoot for at least every other week if not more. If you were making short films, I would say you could get away with month to month (cause of editing time) but VBlogs are super simple!

Keep making interesting stuff and keep it consistent and the views (and in the end, money) will start rolling in![DOUBLEPOST=1345770411,1345768730][/DOUBLEPOST]Also here are a couple Vblog Channels to check out for some great references!

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply, it's really something to help me!

Yeah my surname it Kinghorn, never thought it was that special but I've had a few people comment saying that they they think it's cool haha!

I can easily upload every week, I was even getting into it so much i was going to upload more than that, but if you think it'll be okay to do more than once a week i might just start when i feel like it!

I think it's a really good idea to pick out 'hot' topics and i can really see how that would bring more views as it would be stuff people will search for, so I will definitely start doing videos on hot topics!

thanks again!

Ya! Watch the "trends" on YouTube and see what is goin on week by week.
Try to follow what others are doing, but do it in your own way.

Unfortunately, YouTube is somewhat of a "Follow the Leader" until you get well known enough for others to "follow you".
You gotta watch and see what people are doing and mimic it in your own way.

I would say to pick a day, and upload every week on that day. Stockpile a few vids that you can put up if you think you might miss a day.

I wouldn't really push too many out in one week though, it might appear too anxious.

I believe most of the VBloggers post on Wednesdays...so you might wanna try that out.
People will be on YouTube those days for that "type" of entertainment, it helps if you can upload around the same times or slightly after to kinda "ride" off of the views.

Until you get "YouTube Famous" you kinda have to play Catch-up to the top cats!
